Crying Uncle

My uncle, Daddy's older brother, Chuck has arrived!

Also, Daddy is officially "sick of hospital food" / cried "uncle" on the hospital food. He's been on soft diet, too. He turned away his lunch yesterday. So, after I picked Chuck up from the airport, we stopped and brought in Chipotle chicken tacos for him. He had about half of one and some bites of chips & guac.

I let the nurse know last night that he'd refused a couple of meals and was getting queasy from the smell when his tray came, and a speech therapist came just now to observe him eating some crackers and graduated him to regular diet. Hooray!

His left shoulder is much better. Still hurts, but he is using his left hand again to eat and stuff now. The hemotoma underneath his pacemaker/AICD is looking better.

He's actually OFF of all IV drugs now and is taking everything by mouth. They are talking about getting him evaluated for cardiac rehab.

So! Things are looking up.
