Lookin' Good

So, he had a PET scan of his belly/driveline site yesterday and it didn't show anything. So, still no clear answer on what started this whole thing to begin with. They are going to give him some antibiotics because, while they are only finding normal skin bacteria, it could still cause an infection. This may need to be an IV type for a couple of weeks which they would teach him to do at home. They have to figure what will be effective and not conflict with his other drugs.

Last night, Austin (Jenny & Julie's brother) met us in Baltimore for seafood. We had a responsible departure time and made it in early this morning to meet with the social worker regarding Daddy's advanced directive. Started talking about stuff. Kinda confusing as he has already had an artificial life extender put in for a terminal condition. Requested additional advice from the social worker and maybe palliative care, a resource available at UPMC last summer. Julie just wants to jump on it while Daddy is willing to do it...because we REALLY need paperwork like this established. Cause anything can happen. Smartass Daddy said yesterday he just hadn't gotten to it yet (in the last 6 mo) because he hadn't had the opportunity. With a smirk on his face.

The two pictures of the three of is show smiles and frowns, because that's part of his neuro-checks.
