I just called and spoke with Daddy's nurse. He's doing well. They are cutting back on his medications through the wee hours of the morning. In about 2 hours (4:15am) they are going to see if he is able to breathe on his own without the ventilator. If so, then they will remove the breathing tube before morning rounds...which are at 7am.
The next question is to stay awake or go back to sleep (after a 6 hour nap & breakfast at 1am). However, Abby is still sound asleep.
