Holding Pattern

Update from surgeon about 3 hours ago:
1. The right side of Daddy's heart does not have a clot.
2. It's not in bad enough shape to put in a RVAD (Right Ventricular Assist Device).
3. Might have had another heart attack causing the pressure on that side to reduce, he's not sure.
4. Breast bone was not reconnected. It was left open with bars in the middle to allow the heart to have more room to expand while beating/pumping. The skin was closed & sealed though.
5. They will review all images tomorrow to try and figure out what is causing him to continue having the arrhythmias and low pressure.
6. Will do another Catheterization test (Cath) to check the bloodflow & pressure through the right side of the heart. This may be on Wednesday.
7. They will still have to take Daddy back into the Operating Room to close his breast bone later in the week.

The team is stumped right now.

Julie & Jaron are back in town. Keep sending prayers & happy thoughts please.
