Real Life

I think we're settling in to normal life now. Not a whole lot of notable news. We're hosting a family game nite on Valentine's Day. We've had a few movie nights at home. For example, Fast and Furious 7 is coming out in April so we need to re-watch the previous 6.

Daddy has started going to the movies by himself during the middle of a weekday about every week for a couple of weeks now. He went to see American Sniper. We've discovered that if you get to the movies early, pretty much everywhere will make salt-free popcorn for you.

He has his full sense of humor back and even tried out one of his stocking stuffer temporary tattoos (see picture below).

Infrastructure upgrades at Daddy's house that are higher on the priority list than others are: 1) heat, transferring to something other than firewood, and 2) plumbing upgrades & filtering the well water. It's still colder at his house than it is here.

Big news on the home front: Jaron's last day on active duty was Friday. He started his new job yesterday as a defense contractor managing fuels on Andrews AFB, very related to what he did at Beale AFB in NorCal. He has responsibility over 50 workers.

My project & working from home are both going well. I've also started working out more often.

So...that's life.

Quote from Daddy: "You know you've had a good night when you wake up and find popcorn kernels in your VAD bag."
